Do you know what a Whirligig is?

I sure did not but I heard this word before and I always wondered. I was once invited to go on a whirligig and I was curious but I didn't go so I never found out what it was. Thanks to google search and wikipedia, I found more about it.

According to Wikipedia, "A whirligig is an object that spins or whirls, or has at least one member that spins or whirls. Whirligigs are also known as buzzers, comic weathervanes, gee-haws, spinners, whirlygigs; whirlijig; whirlyjig; whirlybird; or plain whirly. Whirligigs are most commonly powered by the wind, but can be hand or friction powered, or even powered by a motor."

My first thought was, "Oh, it's just a weathervane like those fake roosters they put on top of their homes in the midwest that spin around when there's a tornado." Then, I thought, what the heck(I would've written the cuss word but I gave up swearing for lent) is a gee-haw?! This whirligig business sounds like it's only a midwest thing because who'd make up the word gee-haw? It sounds like a horse neighing after his master slapped his ass(Is ass a cuss word?) to go faster.

So there you go. There's your daily dosage of what goes inside my whirly brain. Such randomness and I love it!
